The Seiser Alm in the Dolomites
The Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi is the largest high-Alpine meadow in Europe and offers, together with its surrounding villages of Völs/Fiè, Seis/Siusi and Kastelruth/Castelrotto, unending possibilities to enjoy your holiday at any time of the year.
Here you can discover various possibilities for hiking and other round trips. During the winter time, 60 kilometers of slopes connected with cable cars invite for numerous sports, such as skiing and snowboarding. Moreover, there are around 60 kilometers of cross-country ski runs, toboggan runs and surfaces for ice skating.
The Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi is very rich in its flora and fauna. Around the Schlern you can discover areas of spruces and pin forests on meadows covered with flowers during the summer time, and covered with snow during the winter.
Animals, such as chamois, golden eagles, Alpine choughs or Alpine swifts can be observed in their natural environment.
